all i have are some softies and two clowns, a royal gramma, and a wrasse. They all seem to be fine. I live in an apartment and it is a pain in the ass to do water changes and the salt I have is running low. I just got married so I havent had time yet this summer. I plan on doing a water change...
I havent done a water change in about 2-3 months and my fish tanks is fine. Granted I havent tested for salinity, etc. But all I have been doing it is topping off the tank with RO water w/0 salt. Fish and coral are doing great. SHould I do a water change or just keep up with topping the tank off.
How in the heck do I get rid of this red slime algae. I have been batteling it for three weeks now. I moved my aquarium to a new location three days ago and the sand bed was clear of it but sure enough in 1-2 days time it reared its ugly head again. I am not overfeeding...What should I do (it...
It might be over flake feeding. But the seawood (the whole freakin strip) wasnt touched and just kinda desolved and I never had that problem before the seaweed so I am thinking it has to be the seaweed. I have the purple stuff now, I think I will trash it and just pick up Nori from the...
Does anyone have a suggestion for an anenome for my 54 corner gallon tank w/ compack flour. lights? I have two true percs which I want to host it..
The LFS guy told me that those are the hardest to get to host an anenome
My yellow tang is not eating seaweed from the clip in the tank. He is eating the frozen brine and flakes fine but not the seawood. Moreover, the seadweed seems to cause a deep ruby red algae outbreak on my sandbed. Any suggestions/hints?
Can anyone send me in the direction of finding a new sump for my Super Coralife Protein Skimmer pump? The one website I have is out of them. This pump is for the larger model not the 65 gallon model.
So I was feeding my fish and the bigger clown which hogs most of the food after ten mintues from the feeding, blows chunks! ha ha ha. has htis happened to anyone else before, he is perfectly healty and fat!
I was wondering if someone could give me advice on the mechanics/suggestions of moving not only my tank/stand/sump, etc but also my livestock down (with an elevator) to the 2nd floor of my apartment. This will be quick and everything will be up and running as soon as it gets there I just need...
Thank you guys, I cleaned it thoroughly and I believe the problem was in the pump wheel, it just needed to be rinsed. It is working well now. I also put in my 9 watt UV sterilizer so we will see if that makes a difference..
Againt thank you all!
no offense cindre2000, I respectfully disagree. The pressure needed to burst a glass tank is not even in the ballpark of the pressure a mangrove's roots would expand.
I have a mangrove and it works wonders. It is in my refugium with DSB. I actually do not use light at all, I just open up the stand door and let the natural sunlight come in and it is growing fine. The occasional trimming takes place like once every 2/3 weeks. The roots have really taken grasp...
