It is definitely going to feel like that for a while, but learning is a lot of fun and this is a hobby that is constantly advancing. Just read as much as you can, make contacts in the community to get help when you need it, and don't be afraid of failure.

DSB seems to be great for a softie tank, but they eventually accumulate too much detritus. You should be sure to vacuum or replace portions of the sand every few months to get the mud out.
