Thanks guys, My camera is a Fuji 6900Z, a bit of an old model now (since being superceeded by the S602) but it works for me. :D The shrimp shot was actually taken after lights out. I had to guess a bit on the focus but it didn't come out too bad all things considered. Regards Lisa

Thanks for the welcome HD. Of the two I much prefer your first pic although there's possibly a little too much dead space to the right. Generally a shot is much better compositionally if the main subject is not centered. Btw Undergrad, that's one scary beetle 8O Here's another of my favs...

Ahh my favourite subject, with the exception of marine tanks of course :wink: Here's a pic I took last year of a Common Blue butterfly though there's nothing 'common' about this beauty I think :D Regards Lisa
