Thanx for reply Ben, sounds like good advice but thing is it cost a lot when new due to the high quality finish - I'd hate to screw up the re-siliconing job. Thats the dilemma I spose - don't want a burst :cry:

Been planning a 200gal systemised reef and was pretty much set on Deltec/Aquamedic. Lately a british company has been marketing Tenecor systems.
I know acrylic is more popular stateside so are they to be recommended?
Is scratching still a major con or are there ways around this?

Intending to setup tank to include largish fish eg. Regal Angel/Emp tang with mostly sps. Filt will be Berlin with a refugium.
What would be best: 72(l)x24(w)x24(h) or 60(l)x30(w)x24(h) ?
My thinking is that 5fter would be better for aquascaping but 6fter would reduce aggression in...

Planning a 5x2x2 reef, 45gal is our old (empty) reef tank that we were going to sell and then buy 15gallon to use as quarantine/treatment tank.
Having second thoughts as 45gal cost $700 and we'd prob get $150 for it 2nd hand :oops: .

We have an old Juwel 45gal tank set up for marines that we were going to sell and buy a 15gal tank for quarantine/treatment.
Is 45gal too big for this purpose taking into account costs of medication etc?
