I actually have the same concern. I think my current lights (bought used pendants) are 10K or lower. So we are thinking of going 14k or 20k. Now if we suppliment with actinics, and keep 10k for the MH would that cause the coral to slow it's growth, or would that not matter as much since they...

I saw one guys tank that had what I think was Pool Lining material on the bottom, he kind of made a 'containter' with it going up the siteds of the frame. Not quite sure how well that would work in a stand, but might give you some ideas.

Do you have a place that sells 'oxygen'? The places around here that do, sell CO2 also.

SnowManSnow, Find your local Marine club and join up. I have found that the clubs in my area a really friendly, have tons of great advice, and are always willing to help out a new member (giving Rock, sand, etc... ). Good Luck with your tank!!!

Put some salt in the water, and then Live rock. The Live rock helps a TON!!! I got a bunch of 'Live Sand' from someone to restart my 29, and I got that wonderful cloud you are seeing now. Once I put the rock in, within a day I could actually see my rock in the tank. Michael
