Bottom line is simply: you get what you pay for If you plan on keeping SPS go for a Pro Cal reactor. Super 'fit and finish' , and no fiddlin' once you set it up. The best product in reactors... period. If you have a small system <90 gal with not muc SPS, just go for the kalk drip method.

Have you checked your water parameters? Are there any other corals close by? Sometimes soft corals release toxins to overpower nearby corals competeing for property. In addition to the above, I would cut away the black spots off the colony.
