  3. Here is a simple and effective trick for target feeding pellet foods to corals.

It's my pleasure. I always enjoy reading tips and tricks from different reefers that save me time and money. I'm happy I can finally return the favor to some degree. : )
  4. Here is a simple and effective trick for target feeding pellet foods to corals.

I don't always feed food pellets to my corals, but when I do, I wanted to share a little trick I've learned over my trials and errors with target feeding. As a quick side note, I always found target feeding pellets like Marin Fauna LPS to my acans, ect, to be a royal PITA...So I devised a method...
  5. Aquarium Village Update

Rich, don't mind the haters. They are most likely just other jealous shop owners. You've literally got the best coral shop on Long Island (I've been to them all). I can't imagine why anyone else could have anything negative to say about your place. Your shop is usually spotless, your frags and...
  6. Anyone using Red Sea Coral Pro salt mix?

I agree. If it works man, then it's all good. Coral Pro is a bit costly now that you mention it, lol.
  7. Anyone using Red Sea Coral Pro salt mix?

Thanks for the reply. I've come to really like the Coral Pro mix for several reasons compared to other mixes. The high Magnesium levels are the only issue I can find with it. And, like you said, I don't even know if you can really classify that as a problem. Anyway, I guess it is what it is. On...
  8. Bristle worms....good ? Bad ? What to do

I always use an undersized pair of powder less nitrile gloves when I work in my tank. Protects my hands when I have to work in the rocks or with my zoas and feels like I'm wearing nothing. CVS has em cheap.
  9. Anyone have some Stomatella snails they'd like to get rid of?

These guys are probably my favorite grazers. Too bad you can't buy them. I only have one large one left because my others succumbed to my hermits (hermits are now gone). Anyone have a few they wouldn't mind parting with? PM me if you do. Thanks.
  10. Anyone using Red Sea Coral Pro salt mix?

I've been using this salt mix for about a year now and overall have had great results with my corals. My water parameters are for the most part perfect with the exception of one thing though, and it's driving me crazy....The magnesium levels in my tank are through the roof on a regular basis...
  11. new nano setup

Personally, I wouldn't EVER be scared of too much filtration on a smaller tank. Our skimmers, reactors and chemical media pull out garbage that "most" of our corals and inverts can't really benefit from anyway. I'm sure that someone will debate me on this, but I run a skimmer twice the size as...
  12. Bristle worms....good ? Bad ? What to do
