I haven't fed with feeders before so I don't know the teminology. So what does gut loading feeder fish mean?

I have a Zebra Dwarf Lion (recently purchased) that I feed with feeder guppies. What I need to know is, will this lion eat feeders everyday, or should I only feed them evey couple of days. And if everyday, how many times? Thanks Todd
