Does anyone see a problem with putting in 10g-15g of my 55g water and then filling the remaining with new RO/DI SW? Does this give me any ill affects, or is it beneficial? For substrate I am gonna use 3 bags of wet Agra-Live and then 1-2 bags of Southdown.

Used it for cottonmouth on my GSM clown, took care of it in 2 days. Only doese 5ml in morning in my 55g. I had a BTA, Silver pulsing xenia, mushrooms, devils hand leather, sun polyps....only thing i noticed is the BTA would close up about 10 minutes after putting the Melafix in tank. WOld...

how about building a possible canopy that blocks the light out??

Sorry but no you will have to get more lighting. A BTA might be okay in your tank with 220w but I would try to get at least 300w over you tank.

IME the best thing for cyano and diatoms is a Fighting conch, Cerith snails. Chris is correct about the cyano but just a little FYI..cyano is a bacterial infection of the tanks water. Usually goes away with water changes, and IME a fighting conch. If your sandbed is completely covered with it...

You need to wait for at least 1 week after your cycle has completed, before adding anything. IMO you should add a fish first. (IMO) I would only add some snails..3 turbo's, 1 fighting conch, and 2 or 3 nassarius. You wont have much for them to live on unless you have algae, but yo ucan place...

Never used it but IMO with a 65g tank you will only be able to keep things such as....Sun Polyps, mushrooms, a few leathers. Not much with that big of a tank. I myself have 220w VHO on a 55g and that is just enough to keep what I have in my tank......No clams, acroporia, like I want, not till...

This is what my tank looks like at night with my 6' blue rope light (AKA moonlights).....I have seen some today that give the tank a more whitish coloring than blue and was wondering if anyone has seen any that give the white look instead of the blue and is there a benifit to one or the other...
