You could have it pull from a strainer into a tube, just like a canister filter, and then pump back into the tank, either with or without a SCWD. That would be you best, IMO. Hope this helps.

I have a bicolor in a 75, and it is the most beautiful fish I have, I think. I also have clowns, ocellaris, and a bangaii cardinal. They also do not seem to get as big, which is a big plus to me with a smaller tank.

I use two 400 watt 10k XM's with VHO actinic URI bulbs, two 110 watt bulbs.
75 gallon tank. I love the look. Everything does well. I personally think it helps with nutrient uptake as well with all that light.

All I can say is wow. I love the ricordia, it is amazing. Also, those cardinals? are awesome. What kind of fish are those? Super tank man. I wish I could have a tank that big.
