I've got a pair of clown in a 10gal nano and I want to get them to breed. Can anyone give me some tips cause I got no idea what I need to do to keep the fry and such. Thanks
My peppermint shrimp has recently developed a white bulge on its left side. It kinda looks like a peice of substrate. Could it have eaten it and it become lodged somehow? Or is it pregnant? Any ideas? There is only one shrimp in the tank.
We use the 20' coralife and it works just fine. Mushrooms are doing good. I wish though we had more lighting. I would recommend 2 of the 20' PC strip lights.
What type of bulb should I use(VHO)? I guess with the Halide's I'll use 12k but what about the VHO's? Actinic? and how do you DIY moon lights? I'll be using Lowes Hardware for all DIY.
should the MH be 10k and the VHO's be actinic? I've got some PC fixtures. Should I use them with the MH or go with VHO? I guess 250 MH is the way to go.
My Royal Gramma won't quit hiding. I don't see anyother fish picking on him. He only comes out to eat, the rest of the time he hides in a rock. Any ideas? His tank mates are:
1 marroon clown
1 false percula
2 yellow clown gobies
1 orange diamond goby
4 blue chromis
1 koran angel
I'm thinking about upgrading my lighting system and I want to do MH. Would two 150watt and 2 VHO actinics be enough to pretty much have a wide range of corals? and would I need cooling fans?
another question: I don't have my ball valve, coming from the tank, open completely. Is this normal? I've got opened only about have way. any ideas about this ?
thanks guys for the info. I'm gonna drain my sump on Sunday. I've got plenty of reef rubble that I picked up in the keys. I guess I'll use that. My specs on the tank are 90 AGA drilled tank. The sump/fuge is a 30 AGA. Does anyone know what the recommended return pump GPH should be? the pump...
