    I found a guy who removed the standard bioballs, and drip plate from the back of his uniquarium, and replaced the space with 3/4 live rock at the bottom, and then a layer of cheato algae at the top. It's a 40 gallon, and it's simply incredible. Nitrates are non existent... Does anybody have any...

  6. Is my filtration enough?

    I was using that same skimmer on the same size tank, and was'nt getting much skim. I switched over to the red sea prizm deluxe, and it made a world of difference. I don't think you get enough contact time with that little skimmer. Look into the prizm. Good luck richg

    Hey all, it's been about 15 years since i've been into the hobby, and I'm just now getting back in (thank god). I am currently running a 60 gallon uniquarium with the venturi skimmer, two 96 watt 50/50 bulbs, and a wavemaster pro wavemaker with 4 maxi jet power heads. I'll be picking up 50 lbs...
