Hello people, In this weekend I readed a book about some species of coral and I saw one montipora that I never see. Did you see a white montipora digitata? Photos are wellcome! :D

Our friend Guy is correct, if you do changes of water, the concentration of cloride stay low.

You have two choses, calcium hidroxide or acid for example acetic acid, cloride acid. Everyone is good alternative but take care with super dosage. PS. Use counts drops in all cases ok.

I sugest that you dose calcium chloride about 15 days and one change of water about 30 days..... I start my reef 4 weeks ago and I dose Calcium Chloride. The results are rewardings.

In my knowledge halimeda has fosfate therefore is a seaweed. I don´t use as calcium reactor media!

One more question for the comunity.... Which best substratum to use in marine aquariums? Halimeda, aragonite, calcite, dolomite??? In my vision I prefere halimeda!

Ok, one more time......Thanks to Mihai and Thacket!!!!!! We've a great problem in Brazil.....the temperature. Many peple need to use chiller and fan (I don't know that is correcet word), to control the temperature.

Tackett, is not good high temps for corals, correct??? I intend contorol the temp of the my reef in 25.6 to 26.6 °C (sorry, here in Brazil we use °C)...... :wink: :wink: :wink:
