  1. Prisim skimmer dillema...

    Hey guys...My one year old prisim skimmer got it's periodic cleaning yesterday and now it's blowing clouds of micro bubbles out every couple of minutes. I took it apart today and made sure the connections are all in good shape but , still blowing bubbles! It seems to be skimming just fine...

    Thanks for the link...I do weekly 5 gallon changes with RO but the bloody stuff is still there. I'm planning on getting and Emerald crab or two.

    Thanks everybody!! If I decide to go the removal route, do you just take the rocks out and scrub them in salt water or is there more to it than that? I really don't want to have to go to the trouble and just spread the seeds all over the place again.

    Where I live it is hard to find any emeralds. I have two clowns and one yellow tail damsel and an algea blenny. What is the possibility of taking the rock out and cleaning it?

    Hey guys...I have bubble algea growing almost out of control. What is the accepted procedure for ridding youself of this stuff? I have 30 lbs of live rock in my 30 gal and it's really becomming an eye sore. I don't have any corals, just fish.

    Yeah, I did another water change (5 gallons). The urchin left his spines in a pile and has moved abou 6 inches since tuesday. I think he is still alive.

    I never would have thought of the B-Star...He hides out all day, I guess it could be a possibility. but I don't think so. The Urchin lost most of his spines in one pile. I've continued to monitor my water params and things are looking up. Why my urchin lost his spines is still in question...

    I use RO mixed with Oceanic salt, temp adjusted to match the tank. My urchin is just about bald in one day!
