Just to update: I caught the damsel using a soda bottle cut & the throat inverted. After baiting w/ shrimp, he went in & i got him. Thanks for all the advice. I can speak from personal experience that this method will work.

I am trying to catch a damsel. I have been thinking about making a catcher by cutting the top out of a drink bottle, inverting it, gluing it back together & baiting w/ brine shrimp. If he went in, he couldn't get back out!

Any ideas for catching illusive fish w/o removing all the rocks etc. I have tried to lure him up with food, but when he sees the net, he is gone!

Thanks for the replies. It looks like the blister burst & he seems to be moving around more today. I will monitor for a few days & see what happens.

I have had crabs eat several of my snails. Just last night I had a crab cut off a big peice of my green star polyp. I guess that is my 1st shot at fragging :lol:

Update to Original Post: My greenstar began to have a few polyps open on the evening of original post & more polyps have opened each day. Today makes a week since I bought it & I would estimate around 70% to be open. Thanks again for all replies & advice.

I bought a beautiful green star coral Monday night. It has not opened up yet. How long should I expect to wait before it opens up? All my parameters are good. I have no other corals in my tank, but I do have an annemone that is thriving. thanks

Lord Nikon, Glad to know I am not the only one also. I have 1 piece of coral & am planning a water change & adding calcium level up. I looked at these guys w/ magnifying glass & they may be featherdusters, but they are still too small to really tell. Thanks for all the posts & advice

Sorry about the description. They are a little larger than a pin head & flat. They don't appear to be to be moving, just alot of them. (I would estimate 200.) I do have some small featherdusters in some macroalgae in my sump. They do seem to be confined to the sump. I will try to get a...
