If you target feed them every other day or so you'll get new heads popping every 2 weeks, if leave them to fend for themselves maybe every couple months a new one will sprout. Thats been my experience anyway.

If for the money you mean cheap I would say the reefbreeders fixtures are pretty good bang for the buck.

If you goto AV you may as well hit up Pet Warehouse in Carle Place as well as its like 5 minutes away. Don't know of any other shops in that general area.

Betta's can vary by fish I've had some I've been able to keep in with various colorful longfinned fish, and others that would go on a murderous rampage at the sign of any other life in their tank. Sounds like this one would be better suited to being alone.

I've used it to help seed tanks before, I think it does help speed up the cycle some, but as far as working as advertised saying its safe to add fish immediately no way I'd ever add fish with the test results I've had after using it.

Aqueon T5 30" fixture with 1 10000k and 1 6700k 18w each I think, they're not HO's. Oh also a finnex clip on fixture for my HOB fuge 6700k mini CFL bulb 20w.

They're suppose to be good for about a year.

Syosset Long Island no power mon 3pm-fri 6pm, tank temp went to low 60's. I think my only fish loss was my YWG. Inverts peppermint shrimp, a few dead snails, coco worms, feather dusters. Coral losses Xenia all dead. Unsure on half my zoas haven't opened yet, some SPS are looking iffy not sure...

I have the 5 stage deluxe from Bulk Reef Supply, came with the pressure gauge, flush kit, and dual inline tds meter. Been pretty pleased with it, I think its $199 but on sale frequently for $179.
