  1. Wiring PC Endcaps

I just received my moisture proof endcaps from hellolights and am going to wire them into a workhorse 7 ballast. I am alittle miffed though, The endcaps have four wires coming down the cord. Are they two hots and two nuetrals. Has anyone ever wired these to products together and wouldn't mind...

  4. Help from you DIY's on Metal Halide

I came across a 250watt multi-tap Metal halide ballast made by Howard-Ballasts. Will this ballast fire a 250w Iwasaki?? 6500k bulb like the Advance 71A3802 AND 71A3572, which are recommeded in all the metal halide DIY posts.
  5. PC Lighting suggestion?

MickAV8r- That is a beautiful coral. When my lights get here they will be 6" from the waters surface and my tallest perch is 4" below the surface, do you think that with 3 96w PC's that I could have the proper intensity to grow something that beautiful in my tank? AND yes it is a 40gal breeder.
  6. PC Lighting suggestion?

I hear get metal halides all the time, but I'm not worried about having sps' yet. Down the road I may kick myself for not getting them, but I got the money or I wouldn't be in this hobby. Just sticking with softies and whatever else looks good in my tank for now.
  7. PC Lighting suggestion?

I have a 40 gal tank with 1 96w Pc 10k bulb with two 40w NO Actinics. I will be adding 2 more 96w bulbs shortly, and removing the NO's, because of space. Anyone have some recommendations on a good mix of bulbs for the best look and the best coral growth?
  8. What did everyone see or buy this weekend at the LFS?

Watch out with the boiling water, you'll kill the beast alright and everything around it. I use my turky baster, just suck-um right outta the gravel. May not be the most scientific but they never return.
