  2. High phosphate & dying corals

Hi Robert, Rowaphos is not intended to give overnight results and it's continual and proper use will produce reduce zero inorganic and organice phosphates. As a side note phospate test kits do not generally measure all types of phosphates in the water so they can be misleading and you may...
  3. Cool Coolpix 2500 shots

James yeah I think this camera is a great candidate for those looking to get a good entry level camera that doesn't cost more than the tank 8O LOL. I just checked amazon and they have it for $229 and used ones for about $170. I've been using a coolpix 950 for the last 3 years and I bought...
  4. Cool Coolpix 2500 shots

Louey, James, Marillion thanks for the kudos!! :) By thinger you meant the tank right LOL? The tank uses both sunlight (about 5 hours a day in the sunroom) supplemented by 2 x 400 watt sakis. John
  5. Cool Coolpix 2500 shots

Len thanks and yes that's a fungia - I love those things and am surprised they don't cost so much considering that there really aren't too many orange corals. When you do see them they're an off color but do color up nicely in our tanks.
  6. Cool Coolpix 2500 shots

For those of you looking for a bargain camera that takes great macro and stills for the aquarium take a look at these. It's not the best camera for indoor or action shots but good enough for for taking pictures of corals:

  9. Website Update - Loads of Hi Quality Pics

BallyPy, I'm not a camera/photography expert by any means but I'll give it a shot. I'm using a stock Nikon 950. It's getting old but still does the trick with the macros. There's a lot of little things that you can do to get clear macros but you gotta start with a digicam that's capable...
