  1. New 200 gallon in-wall setup (was: cracked center brace)

On a side note, I dig your light bulb holder.
  2. Red Sea Coral Pro Salt

Over the years I've switched back and forth between the two and have never seen any real difference. Maybe you just got a bad batch.
  3. Shavo...

I realize that I am new here, but I have to say.... Your Buckethead icon freaks me out a little. 8O
  4. USB powered Desk Top "Aquarium"

I friend of mine had a Mantis Shrimp hitch in on some LR years ago. He got it out of his tank and kept it in a 2 gallon tank for years. It lives in his fuge now.
  5. Live Rock Question

As long as you don't get red slime algae (which is not really an algae) you should be okay. Go over to the Hitchhiker forum and just start clicking threads and you will see all kinds of stuff that shows up with live rock.
  6. Cured live rock

As long as the rock hasn't been left out to get bone dry or hung out in a bath of FW for an extended period of time, you would be amazed at all the little critters that will hang around.
  7. AGA VS. OCEANIC

Yes, the stands are much better for starters. As for the tanks, the glass on Oceanic is a little thicker and the seams are a little more heavy duty. Not to mention they are put together a little more cleanly, check out the silicon on the corners of Oceanics compared to AG, they are just...
  8. Live Rock Question

Patience.... The best thing you can do for live rock is give it time and good water quality. You will be rewarded down the road.
  9. Cured live rock

It will take a while....as in a good couple months before you start to see anything really noticeable. Coralline and other algae will be the first to appear. After that you can expect sponges and tiny fan worms to show up. If you have mushrooms or zoe's on you live rock, yes, they can spread...
  10. Is this true???

This is 100% true. If I remember right, they both start out male and they fight for dominance, whoever is the winner turns female. She will grow to about twice the size of the male. This is also the case if you keep larger groups, there will always be 1 female and the rest males. Someone...
  11. Is another Fish out of the question??

I would think that a 125 could handle that no problem. The Blenny no problem do to the fact that it sticks to the rocks more than anything.
  12. New SW tank

Go with the powerhead, airstones and salt water just cause salt creep. Where I also prefer sand to crushed coral, (I think it just looks better), if you are stincking to fish only, crushed coral is easier to clean. If you do put anything like a triger in there, they like to throw chuncks of...
  13. 2 250 watt halides on 75 gallon is this insane?

What great timing, I just got a 490 watt rig for my 75 and was wondering if it was overkill.
  14. Your prized posession

When I first set up my tank, like 8 years ago, I got a tiger watchman goby, basically because I just love goby's. Well, it turnes out a pitsol shrimp hitchhiked in on my LR that I didn't know about and they found each other and formed their little symbiotic relationship. It was great watching...
  15. Blastomussa's just up and died

Because you're a Steelers fan!!! No really, I have no idea, I just couldn't resist.
