Yup, Adam informed that they will start taking a picture with a ruler in it. They'll still describe their clams using the same measuring method but they'll incorporate the ruler.
Also, I'm also glad that this whole incident will sort of spur me to be more proactive on the message boards...
Hi everyone
Here's an update. Through email correspondences with Adam at cquarium, we've come to a resolution about the whole matter. It was quicker and smoother than I had anticipated.
Given all that has happened and after being notified of the stuff I'm going through with my clams, Adam...
Second Update:
In an email I sent to Adam at cquarium asking him how he wants to refund the money, he sent me this reply.
"A new development is in the work...I will be offering your clams for free for volunteers to remeasure them...we are working out the details... "
I'm not sure what he...
UPDATE:
Adam at Cquarium has agreed to refund me the $70 that I calculated in the above post. Still waiting on that refund.
Even after all this, in that last email, he still said that he thought my measurements were wrong. *shrug*
If I can interject a thought. Cquarium has given their...
Exactly my point. Adam at cquarium wouldn't even read about how I can measure the curve by looking at the images and insisted that I take a picture of me measuring the curve of the clams. So I did. People that have been concerned about me taking them out of my tank shouldn't be. Clams are...
Hi Guys
So I was bored and decided to entertain this new idea of how to measure the clam on the curve, (the top of the clam)
No no don't worry, I didn't take the clams out
What I did may sound confusing, hopefully you can follow my reasoning.
I went back to the pictures I took with the...
To give some perspective, here's a picture of my clam tank. Jeolous? :D The tank is now under a 250 watt 6500K bulb.
The large deresa would what most people classify as 9"
The smaller deresa is about 4"
The two big croceas are about 6-7"
Below and to the right of the big croceas are 5...
In the process of taking the clams out to feed them with DT in a separate container, I got a chance to measure the clams along the curve.
I was very generous in measuring them (meaning, they are probably smaller than what I measured but this is it)
clam 1 which was supposed to be 5.75" was...
Well, Adam said they actually shipped clam #4 as this clam
this was actually my first choice and he thought it was sold already. But what makes it even more interesting was that this clam is listed as a bigger clam, 4.5". So measuring along the curve is supposed to give an additional...
Well...measuring the clams around the curve doesn't add much tot he length. If you can tell by the pictures, they are way too short for what they claim don't you think?
Ok...i got pictures of the four clams next to a measuring tape.
By all interpretations, as liberal as they can, I cannot see how they got the sizes that they promised on their website
clam 1 was supposed to be 5.75"
clam 2 and 3 were supposed to be 5"
clam 4 was supposed to be 4"
no matter...
