Does anyone have any recommendations on what to use to put the sponge in? I've tried a few things but the pieces just falls right threw it.
Where in your tank do you put yours without it looking ugly?
I put it in the Emperor cartridge before I took out the Emperor.
Thanks

The oceanic has two 55 watt bulbs. I have another fixture that houses a Coralife Actinic 6000k blue.
Kewl, I'll cut off the Emperor 400 to see how it does for two weeks.
Thanks
Ocean 125 lighting fixture.
I also have two MaxiJet powerheads(one on each side).
You mentioned dump the emperor. Do you mean replace it with a different wet/dry? doesn't the carbon cartridges help keep the odor down and helps keep the water clean.

When I first started my first tank, I only used damsels for the cycle. Cycling this way is okay but it will tank months sometimes to cycle. Then, you have to add species slowly or they will die off along with your money.
The second attempt was to start with everything you want in the tank...
Thanks to all for your assistance. I almost gave up on keeping my tank since it didn't look good with the rust on everything except the fish. I felt like I spent alot of money and no outcome. Man, i've been fighting this for the last 6 to 8 months. Everyone I spoke with didn't mention the...
I had a Humu Picasso Triggerfish in a 55 gallon tank and added a Chocolate chip starfish for clean up with a few hermits and snails...
the chips on the starfish was popped off within two days by the trigger. (unfortunately, Just like Max, i didn't know better at the time).

I read the Kent site about the phosphate sponge but they don't give very good instructions. Do I just mix this in with the water and let it disolve or do I need to keep it in a container to remove later.
Thanks

What type of anenome do you have? Sometimes mine looks dead and let's out this garbage looking stuff that smells very bad, but it stretches out afterwards and continues to move around. I don't think it ate your fish. The only way I see that happening is if the fish died.

I have a Prizm on my 55 gallon and it works fine. If you are getting buildup on the neck then adjust your water flow so that the bubbles will go a little higher and spill over into the holder. Adjust it a little at a time and give it a few minutes before you move it again. You will see a big...
