  1. Nano Clams

Nice Tank. Thats actualy very interesting. I wonder how large it would have been after 3 to 5 years under those conditions. Also I wonder if the lower light levels of PC flourescents would mean much slower growth rate. Thanks for the info as always. Yohimbe
  2. skimmer for a 30gal.

The AquaC Remora is an awesome skimmer. I have one on a 29 gal and it works extremely well.
  3. Suggestions for controlling Green Algae

Use RO water if your not already, makes a huge difference, especially if your tap water is high in silicates.
  4. Nano Clams

The Nano anemone post was actualy very helpful for me so I'll ask another silly question: are any of the Tridacna clams suitable for a 29 gal tank? My first worry would be are there any of the "giant" clams that stay relativly small and would not require moving to a gazillion gallon tank in...
  5. FC Heater Problem

I just got a FC titanium heater with the IC control from marine depot, and the controller reads 5 degrees lower than actual. If left on it would cook the tank. The website listed on the product sheet is www.fishcue.com, which does not exist. Anyone else had any problems with these units...
  6. Nano Anemones

I like the look of some of the tube amenones, but im not sure my substrate is deep enough in the front of the tank. Its about 2 1/2 in. in front and slopes to 4 in. in back. Sounds like the PVC pipe section is the best way to set one of these critters up but wouldnt look too good in a small...
  7. Nano Anemones

The Tube anemone looks interesting Scoopy, but I wonder about the nocturnal nature listed for this anemone. Do they eventualy become non nocturnal in a rather brite aquarium?
  8. Nano Anemones

That actualy sounds like a good choice. I'm going to look for the Rock Flower. Thanks tarpons.
  9. Nano Anemones

OK, going to order 1 Aiptasia from Liveaquaria.com heh heh. What about non-host anemones ? I was not necessarily thinking of a clownfish host. And thanks for the info, much appreciated. Yohimbe
  10. Nano Anemones

What would be a good choice for an anemone for a 29 gal reeftank? I would like to add one that will not get huge and require bigger housing eventualy. Any suggestions on anemones that will stay relatively small? Thanks Yohimbe
  11. New setup - first post

Thanks for the replys guys, I appreciate the info. I do have a heater in the tank. Im using Salifert test kits so I think they are reasonably accurate. On the lights, the 135 watt PC comes out to about 4.5 w/gal, would this be enough for mushroom and some soft corals? The tank isnt realy that...

  13. New setup - first post

Hello guys, this is my first post here. I had a 55 gal reef tank setup 17 years ago,Much of the hardware, Lights etc I built myself as there wasn’t near as much equipment available then. It ran quite well for 5 years, then I had to move and gave my liverock and inverts to a friend. Well, I...
