Hi. I am setting up my first salt water tank. I just started the cycle last night. I live near Columbus circle. I was wondering if any of you guys wouldn't mind if I came over while you were doing you water changes or something so I can see your tank and ask some questions. Also. I know my sand looks F'd up and I think I have too much, pretty much planning to scoop some out, but my friend keeps telling me he likes a deep bed. the sand got blown around a lot. tank is Fiji cube 32 AIO.

Look no further I could always use more reefing buds. As far as a deep sand bed is concerned they aren’t very popular anymore mainly because they are a lot of maintenance and tend to hold alot of detritus. A smaller sand bed definitely helps with the cycle and will give you a more mature tank faster.feel free to pm me if you have any questions about anything reef related.

Hey I've been reefing for 1.5 years in BK. I'm far from an expert but I've learnt a lot in that time. I'm currently breaking down my first tank due to a move but will be restarting again with a bigger and better tank in the Fall/winter. I am happy to donate some zoas, clove polyps, GSP and even a platinum clownfish to help you get started. Those softies are pretty resilient and shouldn't be bothered too much by a new tank.

Hi. Thanks a lot for the offer. What is your time line for the tank breakdown? My tank just finish cycling a few days ago and first fish is going in tomorrow 5/8/26. I am not ready for coral just yet since I have no light. I am waiting for my light to be delivered, but I should have it setup by 5/12 or 5/13.

I might still have some coral by then but ideally trying to empty the tank out by this weekend. Check back in with me though. If you want the clownfish though I can get you that ASAP. Also have little CUC guys like a sexy shrimp and Pom Pom crab
