Hi,
I originally bought this snake (Cedona, 3-4ft long 5-6yr old that eats thawed and live medium sized rats. Typically eats food in a box outside of his cage) as a pet for a girl that WAS my gf about 5 yrs ago. She ended up not being able to take care of him so, even when we broke up I decided to keep him since I knew I could afford to feed, provide him with the things he needed.
So, in other words, he isn't a pet by choice, though have treated him well in the 3 years I have had him. I hold him 1-2x per week to make sure he remains comfortable with people. When I adopted him 5 yrs ago, the people that had him said he was allowed to slither around the house, was held/played with daily, etc. He is quite nice, she just is fearful that he may escape (never has) and her cat would likely kill him (or he may hurt her to protect himself from her).
However, my current partner and I are going to be moving in together soon (yay!). She has no interest in Cedona (snake) and would prefer that I have someone adopt him.
I know I do not have tons of love for Cedona, as in...we do not hug, etc....
But I want him to go to some one that can have real love for him.
I don't want him to be left in a dank tank just to be bred, etc.
If you can, I'd like to trade/adopt him. I do not want money.
I am only interested in the following types of trades:
SW fish compatible with a 55g tank and 1 clown fish
48" light that is less than 3 years old (fixture), new bulbs and good enough for a FOWLR and maybe a few soft/leather corals (T5's)
if you do not have those things, or are wondering the value of the trade (esp. in term of number/type of fish) then...$80 worth of trade is fine.
Btw, the trade/cash goes towards the SW tank I have in the HS I teach in.
I am personally no longer in the hobby.
