90 g planted aquarium (the tank is drilled and used to be salt water aquarium )
this tank is planted and has a llot of fish and is established.the system is for salt water reef tank the water circulates through the 35g sump and lights are two 175w mh.i designed it to have a planted tank with a lot of fish and minimun maintenence.the water runs in to the sump with a lot of madia to colonize microorganizms to boost nitrification process and remove phosphates from the water also food that gets trapped on sponges is eaten by red cherry shrimps that i have them around 20-25 they breed in the sump.with a minimum maintanance i never had algae problem just change 20%of water once a month sometimes even once in two months.the tmperature is controlled by temp controller and the designe of a tank keeps water parameters stable thas gives healthy fish and invertabrates that are living in the tank also no problem with algae:
