I think I am in, but Can't figure out what I did wrong last year...Almost all of my positions were maxed out mid season.

First, welcome back. Secondly, the season is about 180 days long and the maximum number of games per position player is 162 so even if you filled every spot every day, you shouldn't have maxed until mid-September. Come back and give it another shot.
