Wifey wants to know how much to tip our Paint crew.Seems like the boss doesn't share his share with them cause they're most likely Illegals.They do such good work and all.

How many guys, how much work? Suggestion from old experience on the other side. If you want to tip, do it at the start of the job, not at the end.

i would give em 20 bucks each if they did outstanding work also with lunch (pizza) and beer/water/soda

also bad idea on tipping at the start of the job. if they suck they get no tippie :biggrin:

Seriously.

You hired a professional contractor, who you suspect is abusing illegal immigrants. It's not up to you to subsidize his employees.

If you were using a legitimate contractor with legal workers that were being well compensated would you tip or complain about the high price the contractor was charging?

I've never heard of tipping a crew that worked for a for a contractor. I've done side jobs for years and never once was I offered a monetary tip. Lunches and beers was it.
