Coming from Massachusetts, best time to go

Hi NY reefers.

I plan to go to NY tomorrow, Friday AM. arriving to Brooklyn NY

Mapquest said i will be on 84, then 15 and then Hutchinson River Pkwy S and on 678 S.

i am up early and would like to get there as soon as i can so what is the best time to beat the rush hour am traffice? before 8? after 10?

How about Sunday after 3pm? is the traffic good at that time to go into Brooklyn?

I wouldn't delay your trip 3 days days to avoid traffic. If you leave at 8 you won't be in the city until 11. That will be fine, it's not that bad. If you want to avoid traffic all together leave at 3:30 am or take a train.

Unless you need to be in Brooklyn tomorrow morning....the best time to get anywhere near the city (including just north of, if you're coming down 84) would be tomorrow AFTER sunset..it is Yom Kippur and the traffic will be awful before then. Really awful

thanks for all your replies folks. i dont mind delay my trip for a couple of days. how is Sunday 3PM and later? i want to be in Brooklyn and then go to Central Aquarium shop to pay them a visit.
