Yes, i can say that i did have a good time on a day tour. I was in Las vegas, we drove out to the canyon and met a tour guide just outside the national park and they took us in a van and drove us around. We only stayed on the top of the canyon. But i have to say that we had a great time. I dont remeber what company we used. But it was an AWESOME Sight.
take the one day bus tour of monument valley. another was the helicopter ride over the canyon. we also took a bus to the walnut valley ruins...when you get to the canyon there will be a touris info building at the entrance to the canyon...there are also travel tour agents in town that will set you up with day trips...also you can check the internet....have a great trip . bob

Just the trip to the grand canyon tours from Vegas will take a whole day... You can take a helicopter but it won't take you to the southern rim where the most famous and stunning views are...
