Electrician question: Voltage between countries

I am taking a my external harddrive, bought in the US, overseas to Bali (220V - 240 V AC) and Australia (240 V.) Will have to use a converter to be able to use it overseas?

According to the plug its AC Input is rated for 110 - 240V.

Can I use this appliance (provided I use the right adapter) overseas?

Yes you can your external hd is rated from 120 to 240 VAC you will be fine. Just bring the adapter with you. Also make sure there is not a switch on the back that says 120 or 240. If there is a switch just move it over to 240. Oh by the way be careful as your HD might be searched and subject to being taken away from you while they analyze it and send it back.
