Photos from Venezuela

I normally do a thread of travel photos during/after I've been abroad. However, for those that don't know, I ran into a little trouble in Venezuela and my digital SLR was stolen So these are taken with a back up crappy point and shoot, or a disposable.

I didn't lose it. Two men broke into my hotel room at 3am and robbed me at knife point.

No, no one was hurt. Yes, IF I had taken out travel insurance it would have been covered. No, I didn't bother with insurance this time since I was going for such a short time and I wasn't traveling with a lot of equipment.

Lissa, the camera is replaceable. So glad to hear you're ok. That must have been a traumatic experience. Screw the camera, you're back, safe and sound :hug:

As the others before me have mentioned, your photo skills still shine through even with a point and shoot.

BTW, do you have homeowners insurance? I once had my car broken into and my homeowners insurance covered the loss. I'm sure getting a police report from Venezuela won't be easy, but just a thought.

I actually have a police report. My renters insurance doesn't cover my property after it leaves the apartment.
