I saw this yesterday because chipotle removed the tomato's from their salsa.
Its strange how salmonella gets onto fresh tomato's. Are the tomato pickers wiping their a$$ and then picking some tomato's without washing or something? salmonella is typically transmitted from feces....

I remember reading about this somewhere. It is either from using contaminated water (sewage water) or cow manure.

as long as you cook the tomatoes they're alright. salmonella will die in fire.

In 5 years there will be genetically modified tomatoes that will 'naturally' be anti-bacterial.

I went to my favorite fast Italian to get a salad as soon as I saw there was no tomatoes... I walked away...

Tomatoes are great, just give them a quick dip in alcohol and it'll kill off any bacteria :splitspin
