I was referring to the selection of feeders and supplies. In general, though, the variety offered at this show has declined since I first started attending it four years ago. There are plenty of bearded dragons, leapard geckos and snakes but you used to find a lot more of the oddballs and harder to find reptiles and amphibians. Prices have gone up as well, but I guess thats just like everything else these days. As an example, look at the chameleon's that were there. Screameleons was there as usual, and they are great but only carry Panthers. There were three others as well. One is a breeder and also does reptile rescues - I bought my new veiled from them. The price was higher than they usually go for online and at shows but I know I'm getting it from a good person who will stand behind their animals so it's worth it. The other guy had a cage overcrammed with young veileds he purchased from a breeder. He did not knwo there age, origins or have pictures of the parents. The third guy claimed to be a wholesaler, refused to give me his name ( he did not have a poster or anything with his name - store, company or personal - and when I asked for it his answer was, " I'm a wholesaler and dont normally sell to the public except at this show. " I said thats fine but I still like to know from whom I'm purchasing anything from especially a live animal. He offered to give me his email. Now mind you, this was not asking a store owner for his personal info. This was like going into a storefront without the store name posted outside or inside. Then you look at his chameleons and realize they are under a month old. No reputable breeder will sell a veiled chameleon under 6 weeks, and most prefer to wait until 8 weeks as they are very delicate at that stage and can have a high mortality rate even in experienced care. Sorry for the rant. I'm glad you did well there, and I am happy with my purchases as well. Pics will be posted later.:splitspin
