If money was not a problem, I would get the BMW X6. If you are looking for something nice and affordable because of the economy, I would get a RX350. (Lexus has a special lease/finance program) last time I checked.

Thanks for the advice but they both kind of suck on gas. Need something good on gas or I would just get a full size SUV :)

That BMW is pretty sweet though :D

What Do You Plan To Use It For Rich ? What $$ Are You Trying To Stay Around, Any Brand Specific Your Looking For ? I Work For A Dealership. We Own 11 Different Companies, For The Money And Quality Id Go With Either A Honda Crv Or A Toyota Rav4, If You Want Bigger Would Still Be A Honda Or Toyota, They Hold Their Value Better Than Any Other Make Out There And They Last Longer As Well

My wife has the Acura RDX with Technology package. The 4-cylinder Turbo engine gives you good power AND good gas mileage. We also test drove the BMW X3 and liked the Acura RDX the best.

The Technology package is really cool. Navigation w/ voice activation, Bluetooth, Back-Up Camera, Satellite radio, and some other bells and whistles. BMW charges a la carte for all of these options, which adds up fast. You get alot more ammenities for your money when you compare Acura and BMW. The X3 and RDX have a similar base price, but loaded, the RDX is substantially cheaper.

Rich,

You need the '09 Pilot touring edition. 16/22 mpg :)

1) crossover
2) 3rd row seats
3) med sized SUV
4) 39k Honda but similiar features in an ack is 44k

we paid $34,900 for the Acura RDX loaded w/ technology package and the gas mileage is rated at 17/22 mpg. 240hp 2.3 Turbo. Sticker was a little over $40k. No third row seating but more luxury than honda.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have an 07 CRV now and I'm sick of it. I always though Hondas hold their value well but when I blue booked an 07 CRV exl w navi 23,000mi it was only $21,000. That is 7,000 I lost in a year.
Fot 7g I could have leased a really nice car.

Noob, thats for your help man. I'm going to go to a few local dealers over the next 2 weeks to look at car and get ballpark numbers. I'll check you guys out wen I make a decision.

Wes I was considering the x3 and rdx. Haven't looked at them yet. Last night I took a look at a 09 VW Tijuan......it was so so and the pricing wasn't the greatest.

Warren, I'm done with Honda :)

< Drove A Few Of The Rdx, They Will Get Up And Go, As Well As Loaded With Feature's, Rich Dont Go By Kbb For Price, Dealerships Use Different One's Also And Kinda Press The Issue On Trade Value, Really If You Keep Vehicles For A Longer Period Of Time Id Buy A Jeep, They Last Forever And Have Alot Of Options. Plus They Are Offering Lifetime Drive Train

Can you get a good quote on the 09 Skyline ?

I don't think you will get any thing less then MSRP.

Between X3 and RDX. Although BMW offer care free service for 4 years, I still say RDX. Taking your car in for service (even if its free) is just a pain in the butt, even just for an oil change.

But if I am getting a crossover or SUV, I would go a little bigger like the MDX.

Hey rich just get the porche and call it a day :)

Seriously i like the RDX, it has nice pick up for a 4 cylinder. Also check out jeep, i think they are still offering deal where they will pay for gas for the first 3 years. Free gas !!!!!

One of my family members has the new X3 and I have been in it alot this year, couple things I can say is its alot more roomier than the RDX, (especially in the back) in my opinion looks better and from the above comments 17/22 on the gas mileage is not great at all for a 4 cylinder (especially at almost 35k) duno exactly what the X3 gets but If your going that route might as well look into a hybrid ,..Also the BMW service is free for your minor things (oil changes etc.) .. if you plan on purchasing it and not leasing it (the rdx) the turbo maintainance maybe an issue down the road ...

MDX is very nice but so is the new X5!
I personally love the new Chevy Avalanche but who wants to pay 50k for a pickup ...

Rich,

All the SUVs are losing value like a red headed step child :)

RDX is nice but on the small side. As a additional vehicle for me, it would have to be multi purpose such as inclimate weather, passenger hauler for that once a year and be able to fit at least a full sized washer in the rear.
