Good video card? gamers

Hi

I just got a 8800 gt akimo edition and it seem to hang my asus motherboard to the point where it can't boot with Visita.

I'm looking for a replacement for this card, any recommendation (100 -150) range? As there are too many in the market.

Try going to the company website and downloading the newest vista drivers and see if that helps your problem with booting. Also did you completely uninstall the old video card driers? If not that could be your problem as well.

I would like to add. I would spend the money on windows xp pro and keep the video card you have. And get vista out of your computer. you will be much happier gamer. Trust me

Ditto on the XP pro even though support will no longer be available for it in the near future.Go with BFG,they overclock their cards.Asus boards are the best.

Vista is not that bad. I have it on my gaming rig. Xp has been around for a long time, and is supported better that vista, but I need the coolness factor on my Rig w/ DX10.1. I have BFG w/ (2) 8800 GT 512MB cards running in SLI mode. It's awesome. I play crysis in high graphics mode and you will be blown away at the texture. The leaves move indivudally when your Rig can handle it.
By the way the 8xxx and 9xxx series cards have been succeed by the 2xx series. Enjoy!
