I am currently hiring a Business Development Associate. The company is Brand Engineers (www.brandengineers.com). It is an entry level position based in Iselin, NJ. There is a base salary plus commision bonuses throughout the year.
Job Description:
EDUCATION:
College graduate preferred.
EXPERIENCE
1-3 years work experience; sales experience a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
? Make cold calls within assigned geographic & client areas to generate new appointments each week.
? Produce a list of new businesses to contact.
? Manage and maintain client ACT database; continually update client names, phone numbers, and addresses; Record all contact with potential clients in ACT.
? Schedule new business presentations effectively, maximizing Sales Director?s time and energy most efficiently allowing enough time between meetings; attempt to schedule multiple meetings in off-site locations; get directions to meetings; assess the client?s needs prior to meeting and communicate all relevant information.
? Write and edit new business correspondence, including client proposals and letters; assemble proposal/brochure packages (including Business cards, Brochure, etc).
? Update and maintain New Business Proposal List and Internet lead binders
? Conduct corporate research and lead generation information by investigating existing and prospective clients? news, personnel changes, corporate structure, etc. Research will be conducted on the Internet, through print sources, etc.
? E-mail letters of introduction to prospective clients, etc. and follow up on leads
? Prepare specialized presentations for Business Development
? Perform special projects as needed (may include assisting with pressing project work, assisting with new business, newsletters, etc.
? Attend all office and New Business meetings.
? General office duties as needed.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
? MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ACT, Internet research skills
OTHER:
? Excellent writing, organizational and interpersonal skills
? Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
? Self-starter with cordial and friendly telephone manner, enthusiastic attitude
COMPENSATION:
? Salary / incentives commensurate with experience
Positives:
Great working atmosphere in an up and coming company. There is no ceiling on yearly income. We also work from home on Fridays and have Christmas to New Years off.
