A772086 Chocolate

image002.jpg

Chocolate is a 1 year 4 month old, neutered, Pit Bull. He came to us on 7/25/08 as a owner surrender. He was given up because his owners are losing their house and cannot keep Chocolate any longer. Chocolate was adopted out but returned because his new owner was elderly and could not handle this big mush. There is no doubt Chocolate is a big, strong boy but he would never do anyone any harm. He loves women and children, our evaluator stated he is a bit timid around men. He is fully housebroken and is an all around family pet. His behavior was evaluated here at the shelter and below is the results.

The Stare Test: A: Dog leans forward to lick the handler's face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted.

The Sensitivity Test: A: Dog leans into the handler, wagging his tail, enjoying the touch.

The Tag Test: A: Dog stands with his tail low and wagging, and comes toward the handler in a friendly manner when the handler ceases moving.

The Pinch Test (first attempt): A: Dog does not respond at all. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed or back.

The Pinch Test (Second attempt): A: Dog gently pulls back his paw.

Food aggression Test: A: Dog lifts head and ceases eating.

Toy Test: A: No interest.

Dog to Dog Aggression Test: A: Dog approaches the helper dog in play position.
As you can see Chocolate is our star pupil. He has proven he can be an asset to any family who is seeking a forever companion. This perfect boy won't let you down!!!!

Daisy is back from foster & in the shelter again....

Here is Daisy's Bio

Daisy is a 10 year old, 55 lb, spayed, brown and white pit bull. She came to us on 8/26/08 as a stray. They don't come much sweeter than this old gal. She is very mellow and loves to have her head patted. Daisy loves to be taken out of her kennel and go on long walks.
She walks politely on her leash and doesn't pay any attention to the other dogs.Daisy has a growth on her belly and the shelter's medical staff believes that she is deaf. Daisy is the nicest pooch we have and would make a great pet to anyone seeking a docile and well trained dog.
Please give this girl a new home to live out her golden years

Thanks again:
