I just emailed a potential client and referenced their competitor by accident. :frown: Basically I said we are going to be at "COMPETITIOR" and was hoping I could stop by your office.

I realized I did that and I sent another email saying I'm having one of those days and I meant to say "POTENTIAL CLIENT". Not only that, I copied the owner of my company on the email so he asked why I referenced the competitior. He was fine with it because I know the guy well I sent the email to but I still feel like an ass :sad2:.

Bad Day!!!

One day this spring around the end of May. I arrived at work.
It was a long month of christenings and bar/bat mitzvah's Crazy club events, and all kinds of huge buisnes.
Everybody including myself was ready to take it easy because there was nothing going on that day.
Well that is until my assistant gm walked up to me and said. Are you ready for tonight. I replied by saying. Yea thank god we finally have a night that there is not a million things going on.
To which he replied. Funny, this wedding is going to be a pain in the A**.
So you can guess the rest, and if you cant.
300+ people huge cocktail hour, 4 course dinner with 6 choice entree. BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH.
And 6 hours and 4 cooks to do it in + getting all the food on a saturday.
So you see this type of thing doesnt just happen on top chef.
Moral of the story. CATERING MANAGER NEEDS TO GIVE THE PARTY SHEETS TO ALL DEPARTMENTS!!!!! Was I yelling, Sorry.

The Show Must Go On

That totally sucks!

I got fired from one of my jobs yesterday for not paying attention. It was the first time I have ever been fired for poor performance :-( Even worse is that I totally deserved it. The product is boring and they were right. I never pay attention. It totally sucks when you are wrong and you know it .

:)

Here's a good one. When I was working in Boston, I never took a sick day while working, and never took a vacation that didn't fall on a holiday. So the day I decided to take my first sick day ever I got a call at home and my boss told me i'm getting laid off. So yeah! My sick day became a long unpaid vacation!

Geez. I feel somewhat better. Leslie that sucks. You are so responsible! That job must of been boring. I cared more than my boss which is somewhat scary :(

Good stuff everyone. I'm not sure what is worse than getting shot at work though :Yikes:

Our company did a $1.5 million dollar trade with a brokerage firm a couple of days before they declared bankruptcy and when settlement time came they refused to pay us, so I was stuck between a rock and my CFO. End result was we finally got the money, but they made us sweat it out for a little while.

I have a good ''bad day'' at work story that happened to me about a year ago....

A lady came into the shop to play lottery win-4 numbers and after I entered them all in and handed them over, she went on a nasty tantrum saying that she had wanted them played for the evening draw. After she left I ended up having a busy day and by night time realized that I had forgotten to cancel the unwanted tickets. I was feeling upset that I lost the $30 in tickets when I realized that one of the numbers was that mornings winner and I had won $5,400 :D

Awesome story Boozeman!

I would agree, getting shot takes the cake.

I had a bad day in July. I was running the boat and the customer standing behind me fell into me and my leg hyper extended, tearing my ACL. I had to have ACL replacement surgery and I'm currently going through a lengthy and painful rehabilitation.I feel for the numerous football players who had this injury.
