roaming from a laptop

can any1 offer me some tips on:
i am trying to use a roaming profile on a laptop. it works if the laptop is connected by wire connection, but when using wireless, it doesn't. i'm assuming this is cause by the wireless connection not being establish until i am logon. this there a policy i need to enable? thks.

i'm running win xp pro in a workgroup network with a wireless router piggy back on a wire router.

You're probably correct. But it's dependent on your WLAN NIC and and not the OS. The wireless NIC needs to support pre-logon prior to Winlogon Authentication. Intel Proset has this feature, you'll have to look into the manufacturer of your wireless NIC.

ok, i hada re-custom install the driver with admin tool to get the admin tool to work; then config a package. it works but it disabled the welcome n fast switching logon.:frown: but i can live with that i guess. thks for the tip.
