once again i have it.its the worse skin irratation u can ever have.i dont recommend it :lol2: .i try to be nice to the residents living around the area i hunt and get dressed in the woods so i dont offend them and their kids and this is the thanks i get.ahhhhhhhh

i had a few cases of it since moving out here to the burbs. do a search for my thread as there were some good suggestions. I would NOT recommend eating it. NYREEFNOOB is proabably not sensitive to it which is why he had no reaction then or since. If you are sensitive, eating it will only provoke the reaction in your esophagus and possibly stomach. If you are sensitive to it, even inhaling the fumes from burning it can cause an anaphylactic shock. Best thing to do is avoid it and carry Tecnu in case you do come into contact. The oil ( urishoil or something along those lines ) can persist on clothing and fur so make sure to wash your clothing in hot water with detergent and try not to touch it until doing so.

i am being serious, not advocating to do it, but me and all my cousins did it, i grew up on a farm in the mid-west and we spent alot of time as kids in the woods and i use to get it

As a kid, I used to get poison ivy all the time....I spent summers upstate, and was always playing in and near a rather scuzzy pond (I enjoyed catching turtles and fishing for carp...which I could never bring up since I caught them from a bridge...). I used to be covered in it...including my unmentionables, and the agony was just as unmentionable! But....I am now basically immune to it. Occasionally, maybe every few years, I'll get a small patch of it, but it stays limited and doesn't itch too badly. A little betamethasone (Diprolene...needs an Rx) really helps. I've also built up immunity to mosquito bites...in recent years, my neighborhood in Queens has been invaded by Asian tiger mosquitoes...they bite during the day. Any time outdoors when the temps are above the mid-50's you get swarmed if you are anywhere near shrubbery..especially below the knees. Since I refuse to wear shoes, socks, or long pants in my yard...and hate bug repellant, I get bitten up really bad whenever I go outside. But I rarely react any more...may be 1 bite out of 20 (I can get 20 bites easily in less than 5 minutes) will itch for a few minutes...but my family screams bloody murder whenever they go outside.

I guess I must be immune to it. My neighbors get like this dumbfound look when they see me clearing the stuff by grabbing and pulling barehanded.
