Happy for her to get the secretary of state job even though in the back of my mind,I think he wanted to make up for not picking her as his running mate but regardless,good choice,I'm sure she'll do fine.Right now they're looking for her replacement and RFK Jr is the sentimental favorite.

She seems poised to stay in the running as long as possible. By telling her should would be Sec of State, she may have bowed our earlier than she wanted to and accepted it. I think she'll do just find in that position.

I think that she will make a good Secretary of State but I am surprised she took the job. No one has ever gone from a Cabinet post directly to the Presidency so she would be bucking history on two fronts. I guess this means she has ruled out a run in 2012.

Actually three people have done it. James Madison, James Monroe, and John Quincy Adams. There are around six other presidents who served in cabinet post before their election but not the term preceding.

I totally agree... never liked her as Mrs. Prez, she totally annoyed me when she came here to run for senator (as a stepping stone for a larger position) and... as a Mets fan, when she said she always liked the Yankees.

Things that no other NY Senator (or House member or Governor) was able to do for upstate for the past 40 years. Just ask the Southern Tier and surrounding areas.
