Been Seperated for ONE YEAR this past Monday!

I'm separated four years with two kids, religious divorce a done deal, civil divorce taking longer... - and the most important thing to me has been to maintain stability for my daughters. They are the MOST important thing in my life, and sometimes the hardest part of life is remembering that my ex is their dad, someone I have to maintain a respectful relationship with. other times, it's easy.

Coming from a separated house hold, definitely keep the kids close. It's hard to describe, but you got what they need! They may never appreciate it, but it's better than them resenting it.
