I am planning to go christmas shopping after work and was wondering if anyone knew of any really good sales going on today.

Chong none of the sales have impressed me at all this year. I am usually out shopping on my way home from work and home by now, this year I left work early and came home and instead of getting my already awake early bird kids dressed and out the door I sat and read the last half of the new Star Wars book I started earlier his week. An example I can think of is that 720 lcd tv's are going for the same price as last year when 1080 tv's should be these prices and the 720's much cheaper. They are repackaging and advertising items at their normal sale prices and nothing seems appealing to me. My opinion is if you wait a week you will see most of these prices again without the trouble of waiting in line for 2 hours.

I agree with you. Everything seems to be repackaged sale. There were about 24 people waiting in line at our best buy at 3:00 in the afternoon yesterday, here in Monroe. I couldn't understand what they were willing to stand in line 14 hours for? For a bunch of $9.99 DVDs?

My gf went to staples around noon and got lucky when someone that waited all morning returned a 9mp kodak digital camera. Camera + 1gb card + photo printer = $79.99. She was walking out the door after they tried to sell her a more expensive camera when the salesman ran out after her and said someone was returning the camera right then.

i helped my aunt pickup a canon sd1100 for 159.99 at circuit city..normal price was 199.99...so got a few bucks off...and that was at 10am...there wasnt too much craziness but there was alot of people...waiting to pay was foreverrrr...

also got 2 4gb ultra II SD mem cards for 17.99...i thought that was a decent price..

but that was it...nuthing special...looks more like they just trying to sell out thier older stock...

i come to find better deals online ...like a brand new nikon D40 with lens for $320 shipped...(and USA warranty)

Sad black friday story- Yesterday someone was trappled to death in Walmart in Nassau county LI when the crowd busted through the doors to get to the black friday sales. I would've gotten in line for that too. After four girls, I'm so glad not having to spend $30 on box of Pampers. I probably spent around $5K on diapers and wipes:lol:.

I had heard that the people in the Long Island Incident were running for the TV section as well. And when they were told someone had been hurt seriously and that they had to leave the store many people refused. How sad. What is this country coming to?
