I wonder if signing Sabathia means the Yankees are going to go after Cameron for Centerfield? I thought the Yankees should have signed Cameron instead of Damon a few years back. I also thought they should have signed Rowand last year. I knew Cabrera was going to be a waste. I was hoping they would trade Cabrera and kennedy for Santana but now I am glad they didn't because I'd rather have C.C. than Santana locked up in a long term contract.

I heard Joe Girardi and Cashman talk about Joba as a starter. I'd rather see him in the bullpen. I guess if they sign two more starters he will end up as the setup guy.

I just hope they trade Cano. I like the Yankees keeping their young kids but he just looks like he doesn't care out there.

I don't want Lowe as a Yankee either, and Sheets is always hurt. Burnett is a proven AL pitcher, wouldn't mind seeing him.

5- Matsui DH
6- Posada C

Not the best lineup but if they are throwing a stud pitching staff out there it will do.

Yea I agree, they are better off gettting either AJ or Sheets.. I prefer AJ b/c of Sheets history with injury, although Giradi did state that there is nothing to worry about

You can forget about Peavy, Padres GM Kevin Tower made it clear that Peavy is not intereted in pitching in the American League

Great deal with CC, 7 year 161 million and an opt out clause after 3 years just in case he doesn't like NY or doesnt find it suitable for his family

i don't mind CC for 7/160 = 22.85. for santana it's 6/137.5 = 22.91 plus we don't give up anyone so this is a better deal.

Andy come back for $10-$12M is reasonable if he takes it. Lowe for 16.5/yr is crazy, don't like this at all. I would take Sheets for 2 years rather then 4-5 years for AJ.
