My wife and I were looking at my tank yesterday. It's my 75g display that I have in-wall. This is the tank that got me into the hobby. Out of the blue my wife says to me, 'You need a bigger tank'.

At this point I pinched myself to see if I was sleeping and dreaming or awake and experiencing euphoria. Believe it or not, I was awake.

Now I have to figure out what I want to do :scratchch I don't have any other place to put a tank. This tank is in-wall with a full bathroom behind it. Space is at a premium. Ohhhhhh the pain :splitspin

Below is a picture of what the tank looks like in-wall. FYI, the space to the left of the tank has a sewerage ejector pump behind the wall, so that space is not available (or I would have used it when I first set up the tank).

Ohhhhhhh the pain. What to do?

Any  would be appreciated.

You could always move the lcd that is stage left and sell me the pellet stove:lol:

LMAO, too funny. Steven, believe it or not, my oil fired boiler DOES NOT TURN ON to heat my house. It ONLY heats water for showers, sink, laundry, etc. The pellet stove heats my entire house. Buy one if you're even thinking about it.

Thanks Sujin.

Deep Breaths :)

If it is an "extra" bathroom... well you know what to do... hee hee!

Word of advice... listen to the woman, she obviously knows exactly what she is talking about.

Good luck with planning and execution, you got the skillz ;)

First off Yeah !!!!

Now what is the distance from the front of the tank to the back of the doors ? Maybe you can rotate the setup 90 degrees to the right if you looking at it from the side(where door is).

Can a 30" by 30" cube fit there ?

Ohhhhh, lucky you! :)
Full bathroom? Any chance of pitching the tub (aren't your kids grown anyway?), moving the doorway and buying yourself more space?

...or lose the table & chairs and put it on that back wall & make the current area where the tank is shelving for the stuff everyone drops on that table (we all have one of those somewhere...) and you could still use the space behind the current tank for your top off & water/storage out of site? :)

Got a floorplan drawing?

...oh...and I volunteer to help

Get rid of the bathroom! Take down the wall with the tank. Revamp the whole bathroom area into a sweet fish room! Wash sink, room for all the equipment, rotate the new 200+ gal tank(LOL) to a new spot in the fish room area. Just my thoughts Russ. Oh, with the wall gone you now have room for a small bar!

thats an easy 1.first of all looks like you have another ft in a half to the back of that wall so u can easily go that way.then u have room to go forward.instead of having that box effect on your ceiling add some studs and turn into a solid wall.there goes another 1' forward.
