Subject: URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR 8 MONTH OLD SHEPHERD MIX PUPPY
Guy, a sweet and adorable Shepherd/Pit bull mix 8 month old puppy needs a foster home urgently. He has been in a very temporary foster home with the Safety Net program for a few weeks and the fosterer has to move. Before we intervened, Guy's family had a fire in their home and had nowhere for Guy to go so he was being kept outdoors 24/7 including some of the coldest nights of the year in a relative's backyard.
The family is in emergency housing now where they cannot have Guy. They have made the difficult decision to surrender him to our program in the hopes we can find him a stable home as they will not be able to take him back for months and months.
We are looking for a foster home asap while we work to place Guy with a rescue group.
He gets along with dogs, and loves people. He is a very sweet little guy. (He is about 30 pounds.)
The Safety Net Program has access to at-no-cost accredited dog trainers and can offer their assistance should you need it. Beyond usual puppy energy, though, Guy is very well behaved. We can lend a crate to complete his housebreaking.
Pics of the handsome little boy are attached.
If you can foster Guy, please email/call Jenny Olsen at [email protected] / 347-301-8094 or Joyce Friedman at [email protected] /917-468-0487
Also, please FORWARD!!
