I am not a dog hater. I had a dog myself a few years ago. This neighbor of ours has a mid-size dog. They live a few houses down the street. Last spring I noticed that my front lawn had more and more patches of dead grass. My next door neighbor who is a dog owner told us that it was probably caused by dog urine which could burn and kill the grass if not washed off immediately. Obviously, it was not caused by her dog. This other neighbor though would let her dog walk into our front lawn (10-20 feet) and does her business. So last year, we put up a "Curb your dog" sign. She stopped doing it for a while. My wife did catch her a few times with her dog doing it again in my front yard and told her she shouldn't be doing it. The sign was still up at the time. Last week, her son (probably in his 20s) was walking the dog and he let the damn dog into our lawn again. He stood right in front of our sign. So I went out and asked him if he saw the sign. He replied "It said curb the dog but didn't say not to let the dog on the grass......I have a bag.":irked: So I asked him what if the dog pee and why didn't he let the dog did her business in front of their own lawn. He replied "She doesn't like my lawn. I'll pick it up." So I asked him not to let his dog in our lawn in the future. I went to check the spot a few minutes later. That SOB did not pick up his dog's sh!t. What the f$%^. What's wrong with this family? Like mother like son. WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THIS MADNESS? Take pics/videos when they do it again? Turn to authorities?

Pick up the poop and place it right in front of their door. Hopefully they will step in it. :tongue1:

Try sprinkling cayenne red pepper around your perimeter. This might help keep the dog off your lawn.

That really pisses me off! I am sorry to hear that. It is beyond horrible to me when owners dont simply pick up after their dog. I ALWAYS have a bag on hand when I am with my girls incase one of them decides to leave a present.
Sounds like they are just rude and dont care about anyone else but themselves

Best of luck

I thought about doing that but it won't stop them. I don't know anything about the pepper. Why should I spend money to keep their dog out of my lawn while they should not let her in in the first place.

Well, I got to say they do pick up the poop but it is the urine that's killing my grass. And when they let the dog walked all the way into our front lawn, they will have to come into our property to pick up the sh!t. I don't like people coming into my property un-invited.

Gate it! Dogs can piss anywhere they want unless you seriously go outside each time. My brother has a neighbor that seems to know anytime they are walking the dog and makes sure the dog doesn't piss on their lawn.

Just remember its the owners that are at fault and not the actual dog!

As to ' a dog can pee anywhere. ' Well, yes a dog can pee anywhere, but a dog on a leash with a responsible, considerate owner cannot pee anywhere.

its all well and good of having a responsible person that walks the dog but remember if they have kids that walk the dog they are just going to worry about the dog peeing so they can go back to what they were doing.like i also said there are hundreds of stray cats that do there business everywhere so just make sure its that dog doing it so you dont create problems with the neighbors.

100% agree! plus you can see if a law exists in your area about having your dog on a leash. If so, Presto you got an answer to your moron neighbors

They do have the dog on a leash at all times. But they just let the dog hopped on my lawn to do her business.

....there are hundreds of stray cats that do there business everywhere so just make sure its that dog doing it so you dont create problems with the neighbors.

Whether it is the dog or the stray cats killing the grass is irrelevant. If I don't want your dog peeing or sh!tting on my lawn, that's all there is to it whether it kills the grass or not.

alright it was just a thought so u dont have any trouble with the neighbors.last thing u want is to have a fued.if it happens again and you SEE it going on the lawn then confront them 1 more time with a harsher deminer.

I know what you mean. That's why I am asking for advise on what to say/to do? What do you mean by "a harsher deminer"? I'll kick your a$$ or something like that?
