Sorry for another controversial thread but as past donor and future donor I feel the need and the right to address this. This is a reefing site where no political threads are allowed, I understand that. I have never started a political thread here, Yes I have engaged in responses as such, but never started one.

My problem is the selective moderation that occurs. as per the rules a political thread should be deleted. Instead the thread is allowed and when some responds with a post (IMO) that does not fit or conform to a mods liking it gets deleted. I don't come here to discuss politics and religion those are arguments that will never be resolved and history has proved that.
Some might agree and some don't but ANY thread regarding the president or the government IS political! You cant ask me to respect your political opinion if you don't respect mine.



If a thread has to be moderated and/or a post is deleted or a thread closed the poster at least deserves an reason from the mod either through a PM or on the actual thread IE "post deleted did not conform to MR guidelines"

So why be a member if your not allowed to browse threads and post opinions? Isn't that kind of the point to Manhattan Reefs? How is it any different then someone posting bad advice on reefing? Should mods go around and start deleting all the bad advice given? Understand the point that Frogman makes, it's about the selective censoring.

I think it's fair to say that we all agree that we agree on nothing. Manhattan Reefs is painted with an almost infinite number of strokes. One can find a person from every walk of life in the MR body. We need as a group and individuals to start respecting other peoples opinions.

that will never happen, no way no how. Part of the reason is the wide range of people, that wide range includes the people who don't care about others opinions only their own and the ones that always stir up trouble or the ones that initiate drama in the threads.

The only thing ive seen modded was political posts and recently that weren't fights brought up on the threads due to personal issues. Political issues have always started a ruckus which is why you really only see that type of conversation not allowed or frowned upon by MR. Its inbred in the nature of the topic.

If there wasn't a change in presidency then we wouldn't be seeing this post or others like it.

Hey

Not too long a there was a thread asking for reefing advice so I decided to give the best advise that was given to me, and that advise was not to complicate the hobby as much just to have fun with the hobby. Later that day I decided to check the thread and notice my post was erase, now why do that???? no explanation on why was it erase. The mods should explain why is getting erase.
