wife birthday (need advice)

hi guys my wife is going to turn 27 and i want to take her to a nice place to eat but i have no idea, it will be on march 21st . i would like it to be a really nice restaurant where she will never forget. iM planning to have atleast 500$. im open to advice and please if u could give me the complete address and website if they have one it will be very apprecaited. it can be any type of american food but she likes italian food im open for every advice. ohh and what can i also do to finish up the night. :inlove:

It's my moms bday so tonight we are going to an italian steak house called Padre Figlio, the reviews seem very good so I'll let you know.

- Was good, got the prixe for $35... calamari was tender, steak was tasty, ricotta cheesecake was too savory for my taste. I would say its just like reviews!

Do NOT go to One if by land, two if by sea. The most overrated restaurant I have ever been too.

I like Tavern on the green. Won't cost you $500 for 2 people and the food is really good IMHO.

if you dont mind a little drive to croton on the hudson and like seafood a friend owns a resturuant there called ocean house, very small place but the food is excellent, after 12 yr's in the rest bus. i am very hard to please or to be impressed when dining out, they dont serve alcohol but do have byo if ya want the number lmk, price isnt bad either 2 people with full coarse's will spend around 50-100

Don't know if your wife is into plays because if she is you can do a dinner and a show for under $500.
Just don't forget to buy a birthday card! If you forget this little detail then whatever planning or $$$ went into the the birthday gift isn't going to matter!! :lol2:

My finance loved it on new years eve.. probably around 140ish for 2 people.. very small place with great good and great service.

The best restaurant you are going to find in NY is owned by my friend Rocco. He is also the chief. It was rated #3 in Zagat in all of NY. He cooks for Gracy Mansion every couple of weeks and appears on TV.
It is in Astoria right on the other side of the Tri Boro Bridge from you.
He was born in Abruzzi Italy and your wife will really like him. His picture is on the site. Tell him I sent you and you may get a bottle of wine. (maybe not also)
That will not cost you $500.00, maybe $150 but then I would take her to my other friends new hotel right at the end of the Long Island Expressway, Holiday INN Express for the night. Or his other hotel around the corner from that The Best Western which is nicer, In the morning have breakfast there then go a few miles east to the wineries. There are over 20 of them and you can taste the wines and buy some if you like. Then a little more east go to the town of Greenport. They have a great leather store there which she will love as well as all other kinds of small shops.
Right around the corner is the ferry to Shelter Island which is a nice tiny Island, go through Shelter Island to the other ferry that goes to the South Fork. Stop in some places in the Hamptons.
Now you spent your $500.00 and you can go home happy.
