Wtf Happened To K-rock ?

yeah i just ordered XM so i can listen to O&A again.... and O&A was the reason 92.3 has still been around since the lose of stern.... their rating were great in the morning but the ratings would drop after they were off... 92.3 lost about 1 million in advertisers as of tuesday.... go figure

O&A where in 19th-21st place in the morning. There ratings weren't great, if they had been they would still be around, even with the music change.

The NYC area couldn't support 2 or 3 rock stations, which is why they changed format.

Just get Sirius/XM as once you go satellite radio you'll never listen to regular radio again.

O & A weren't the same because everything they said got dumped. They were still better than any other morning show in this area.

O & A was a lot better than listening to the crap on z100 and now 92.3 has completely copied z100 and even bashes them in their ads. Its pretty pathetic and sad that they cant have their own identity and need to try and be more of a z100 type. I put 92.3 on yesterday morning not knowing about the switch and heard Britney spears followed by Lady Gaga and almost puked. Looks like it's back to iPod or 101.9!!

They just got booker back and now this. I haven;t listened in a few days. is he off now ? Danny's dirty weather did help me sleep among other things lol. I love my rock but I also like that new pluse 87.

You can try WRXP (101.9) and, if you can get it, WDHA in Jersey is excellent (105.5). Yes, K-Rock has gone the way of WPLJ and WNEW-FM. HUGE SNIFF!

o&a were horrible.i coul;d listen to them in the afternoon but their show in the morning was a little pathetic.i bought satellite when howard first went there but even his show got dull.same old stuff day after day.i now listen to sports radio or the news.at least there is always something different there.

89.5....WSOU......:sgrin::thrash:. Let's face it, 92.3 was their own worst enemy. Am I the only one that was tired of hearing Smashing Pumpkins or AC/DC? The only time I listened to them was during the morning drive time to hear O&A. True, they were no where near what they were during the days of 102.7, but they were still entertaining.

Sadly, the death of K-Rock is a reflection of a much larger problem. There is no new Rock music that is any good.

You can only listen to the classics so many times...Today's new music is just horrible. It is sad.

Rock has died and resurrected several times over the years. Hopefully it comes back soon. I can't take this American Idol Mickey Mouse Crap anymore...and the new metal with Cookie Monster vocals sucks.
